Monday 20, June 2022 – UDA Presidential candidate William Ruto kicked out the media from a function he held in Njoro, Nakuru County.
The DP was in the middle of his speech when he Ordered his security team to kick out the Media. “These media houses , why do we have media houses here? nani aliwaleta hapa?Tokeni kwanza tuongee mambo ya maana. Kwanza mnapenda propaganda sana” Ruto said
Before he chased the media houses away, Ruto had narrated how Rift Valley people were affected most by the 2007/08 Post election violence.
“I asked myself, the way Kenyan politics is structured after 2007 and the problem was when the politics get to where it got, It is the Rift valley people who get political problems. I sat down with Uhuru and we agreed.”I told him I was ready and I had a chance” Ruto stated.
The DP media team was Ordered to end the livestream and pull down the videos from their social media platforms.
Ruto thereafter shared a message on his social media. “We cannot move forward as a country through violence and ethnic balkanisation. As Kenya Kwanza, we are firm on communities and leaders actively accepting and embracing diversity. That way, we will build a cohesive, peaceful and better Kenya for everyone”.
The Townhall meeting was attended by grassroots leaders, opinion-shapers and professionals from Njoro and Molo on their issues and priorities.
UDA Presidential Running mate Rigathi Gachagua, Justin Muturi, Susan Kihika, Kimani Ngunjiri, Tabitha Karanja, Charity Kathambi, Kimani Kuria, among other leaders, were in the meeting.
