If elected, George Wajackoya, the presidential candidate for the Roots Party, wants to turn Nyasore Primary in Nyamira into a university.
Bhang is referred to as nyasore in Gusii language.
Wajakoyah, who was enthusiastic about the new “Nyasore University’s” identity during his tour to Kisii and Nyamira on Monday, said that it will be the first higher education school to provide courses in “bhang.”
“I’m here to ask for your support in my candidacy. If the Bhang plan is carried out, the nation’s economy would soar to new heights “said he.
Before traveling to Kenyenya in Bomachoge Borabu for demonstrations Monday morning and Nyamira, Wajackoyah arrived in Kisii on Sunday.
Later that day, he spoke to a large crowd of jubilant supporters at the Capital Roundabout in the heart of Kisii town.
Wajackoyah’s main goal is to use the production and export of bhang to restore the nation’s social and economic standing.
He affirms his commitment to denying corruption suspects their right to life.
He would also raise the length of women’s maternity leaves to one year, cut official working days to four, and install eight prime ministers.
If he defeats William Ruto and Raila Odinga (ODM), he would move Nairobi’s capital to Isiolo (UDA).
Wajackoya urged the people of Kisii to vote for him since the region stands to gain greatly from the cultivation of bhang.
The Roots presidential contender declared, “If you elect me, this will become a reality.”
He visited numerous locations throughout Kisii Nyamira on the two-day trips.
Not a few turned up to give him a heroic welcome.
A single haul of bhang for export from Kisii would significantly address the economic debts of the country, he said
Further Prof.Goerge Wajackoyah has said he won’t attend the Presidential debate tonight if won’t share a Podium with Raila Odinga and William Ruto
