Shabana FC, the reigning National Super League champions, have secured a significant sponsorship agreement with Bangbet, a prominent betting firm, for the upcoming 2023โ2034 FKF Premier League season.
The groundbreaking deal, worth Ksh 20 million, was officially announced on August 13, 2023 in Nairobi.
The partnership, marked by a signing ceremony attended by club officials, players, and Bangbet representatives, solidifies Bangbet’s role as the official sponsor of Shabana FC for the entirety of the upcoming season.
In addition to financial support, Bangbet will provide both playing and training kits for the Kisii-based team.

This announcement was met with great enthusiasm from Shabana FC’s supporters, players, and management alike.
The club’s patron, Kisii Governor Simba Arati, expressed his excitement and confidence in the collaboration, assuring fans that the ongoing renovations at Gusii Stadium โ the team’s official match and training venue โ would be completed in time for the new season.
Governor Arati seized the moment to call upon leaders within the community and beyond to rally around the team, setting aside any political differences and focusing on supporting Shabana FC’s journey back to top-flight football after a 17-year absence.
He emphasized the importance of unity and collaborative efforts to ensure the club’s success in the FKF Premier League.
Jared Nivaton, the club’s chairman, revealed that Shabana FC has strategically bolstered its squad with new signings in preparation for the upcoming season, which kicks off on the 26th of this month.
Nivaton expressed the club’s aspirations of achieving a strong placement in the 2023โ2024 season and ultimately clinching the 2024โ2025 FKF Premier League title.
Bangbet’s Chief Executive Officer, Leonardo Veresse, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to the partnership, stating that they would review their sponsorship after the first season.
The company’s aim is to provide continuous support to ensure Shabana FC remains a prominent contender in top-flight football.
As part of the sponsorship deal, Bangbet will also contribute Ksh 10 million should the team secure the FKF Premier League title.
Shabana FC’s journey in the 2023/2024 FKF Premier League season will see them compete against strong contenders, including Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards.
The team’s opening fixture is scheduled against Muranga Seal in Nairobi on the 27th of this month, followed by subsequent matches against Talanta FC and Police FC.
