In a tense exchange on the Day Break Show on Citizen TV Kenya, UDA nominated Senator from Kisii County, Gloria Orwoba, clashed with host Sam Gituku.
The topic of discussion was the ongoing Azimio demonstrations that have brought Nairobi to a standstill.
But instead of engaging in a constructive conversation, Senator Gloria shifted the blame onto the Azimio leadership, claiming that their participation in the demonstrations was responsible for the loss of life and property.
When asked about police brutality in Kawangware, Mathare, and Kibra, Senator Gloria deflected the question, arguing that there would be no police confrontation without the demonstrations in the first place.
The exchange left Sam visibly frustrated, and viewers took to social media to express their disappointment in the senator’s conduct.
Many criticized her for avoiding the questions and shifting the blame instead of offering solutions to the ongoing crisis.
The Azimio demonstrations have been ongoing for weeks, with protesters demanding lower cost of living.
