Nairobi, Kenya, Jan 8-ย 30 Jubilee MPs break ranks with Azimio, commit to work with the government, in a meeting with President Ruto at State House, Nairobi
President William Samoei Ruto and Deputy President Hon. Rigathi Gachagua on Wednesdayย held a meeting with 30 Jubilee Party MPs at State House Nairobi.ย
This meeting comes barely a day after the head of State met with 9 ODM MPs from Nyanza region amid strong opposition.ย
Samuel Arama (Nakuru Town West Constituency), Stephen Mogaka (West Mugirango Constituency) ,John Waluke (Sirisia Constituency) , Irene Njoki ( Bahati Constituency), Jerusha Momanyi ( Nyamira County Woman representative), and Adan Keynan( Eldas Constituency) are among the 30 Jubilee Party legislatures who have pledged their loyalty to President William Ruto.ย
The ODM party MPs yesterday explored a mechanism of working together to address national and county issues.
The MPs allied to the ODM party pledged their support to President Ruto.
The MPs said they were focused on service delivery and asked other leaders to shun politics.
They were Gideon Ochanda (Bondo), Elisha Odhiambo (Gem), Mark Nyamita (Uriri), Caroli Omondi (Suba South), Shakeel Shabir (Kisumu East, Independent) Felix Odiwuor alias Jalangโo (Langโata), Paul Abuor (Rongo), John Owino (Awendo) and Kisumu Senator Tom Ojienda.
The President said the government would serve all Kenyans equally.ย
“Elections are over, we don’t want a polarized country. We will work for all Kenyans.”
President Ruto said he will work with leaders from across the political divide for the sake of the countryโs unity and economic transformation.
The legislators thanked the President for his visit to Nyanza and said their constituents are interested in service delivery.
