Nyeri,Kenya Jan 10- Africa’s fastest man, Ferdinand Omanyala is among 2,881 constables graduating today from the National Police College in Kiganjo
According to NTV Kenya report, the 100m sprinter is passing out today in an event presided over by President William Ruto.
According to NPS, the recruits finished the Basic Police Training Course and were exposed to a variety of courses such as Human Rights, Community Policing, Public Order Management, Skills at Arms, and Countering Violent Extremism.
Omanyala committed to join the National Police Service in December 2021, where he would compete in track events for the NPS.
Omanyala was appointed as an Inspector by the NPS in 2021.
A statement from the NPS then said, “The 25-year-old sensational sprinter has taken up a new role that will see him represent the National Police Service in future track events.”
