Murang’a Seal leapfrogged Shabana FC into top spot on the table with a 2-1 win over Naivas FC at Camp Toyoyo on Wednesday.
The win was Murang’a Seal’s second in a row. They have now moved to 61 points, one point ahead of Shabana FC, who have played two games less.
Shabana FC will abe in action on Sunday when they face Gusii FC.

In other NSL results on Wednesday, Mara Sugar beat Kajiado FC 4-0, Coastal Heroes beat Darajani Gogo FC 2-0, Kibera Black Stars beat Gusii FC 2-0, Mwatate United beat Kisumu All Stars 2-0 (walkover), Mombasa Elites lost 0-1 to SS Assad, and Vihiga United beat Silibwet Leons 2-0.
The NSL is now entering the final stages of the season, and the battle for the title is hotting up. Murang’a Seal and Shabana FC are the two main contenders, but there are a number of other teams who could still challenge for the title.
The next round of NSL matches will be played on Sunday, June 11.
