Nairobi, Kenya, 28th May 2024- Governor Sakaja Johnson welcomed five newly appointed Chief Officers, vetted and approved by the Nairobi County Assembly, at City Hall.
Governor Sakaja congratulated the officers on their merit-based appointments, emphasizing their roles in critical county sectors: Food, Agriculture, and Natural Resources; Wellness, Nutrition, and School Feeding; Digital Economy and Startups; Boroughs and Subcounty Administration; and Economic Affairs.
The appointees are:
- Gladwell Cheruiyot – Food, Agriculture, and Natural Resources
- Amina Mohammed – Wellness, Nutrition, and School Feeding
- David Oyole – Digital Economy and Startups
- Bernard Muia – Boroughs and Subcounty Administration
- Machel Waikenda – Economic Affairs
Governor Sakaja urged the Chief Officers to collaborate with County Executive Committee Members and other officers to ensure efficient service delivery to Nairobi residents. He stressed the importance of understanding the county’s manifesto and aligning their efforts with its goals.
“I welcome you to familiarize yourselves with our manifesto and the pressing tasks ahead. Focus on service delivery in line with our manifesto,” Governor Sakaja said.
