Kitutu Masaba Member of Parliament Clive Gisairo on Thursday donated school uniforms to a pupil from Nyambaso Primary School who was abandoned by his mother several months ago.
The MP was inspecting ongoing rehabilitation of Kemera-Ikobe-Sengera Road when he was drawn to the attention of Master Nyakieni, a PP2 pupil, who kept following his entourage, chanting his signature campaign song “Bwatesia Gisairo”.
Upon further enquiry, Gisairo learnt that Nyakieni’s mother had abandoned him and his two siblings after their father died.

The MP was moved by the boy’s plight and decided to help him.
Gisairo’s team on May 15, 2023 visited Nyakieni’s home and bought him school uniforms, shoes, a backpack, and other basic items.
Gisairo said that he was committed to helping the less fortunate in his constituency.
He said that education was the key to a better future and that he would do everything in his power to ensure that all children in his constituency had access to quality education.
“I am convinced that such kids will always excel in their academic journey, their challenges notwithstanding. Education is a game changer and an equalizer in the society. It gives all of us a level ground to excel in life,” said Gisairo.
