Kenya’s political circles have been abuzz with speculation after the former Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr. Fred Matiang’i was spotted meeting with several government officials and Members of Parliament at the Marsh Park Hotel.

Among those present were Education Cabinet Secretary Hon. Ezekiel Machogu, Solicitor General Nominee Shadrack Mose, MPs Charles Onchoke and Joash Nyamoko, J.P Simba, and former MPs Jimmy Angwenyi and Hon. Opore.

The three-hour meeting has raised eyebrows among both the Kenya Kwanza and Azimio La Umoja political camps, who are keeping a close eye on any potential major pronouncements.

Interestingly, Dr. Matiang’i’s meeting comes hot on the heels of his recent interrogation at the DCI headquarters over allegations of faking a police raid at his Karen Home.

The political circles are also abuzz with the news of President William Ruto’s upcoming visit to the Gusii region on the 25th and 26th of this month.

Many political analysts believe that the meeting was an attempt to reconcile with Dr. Matiang’i before the president’s visit.

However, South Mugirango MP Sylvanus Osoro had a different take on the meeting.

While he stated that he had no issues with Dr. Matiang’i, he claimed that the former CS did not respect him.

The meeting has garnered much  attention, with observers keenly watching Kenya’s political scene.

As of now, there has been no official statement from the meeting
