Interior CS Fred Matiang’i on Saturday condemned UDA Presidential candidate William Ruto for spreading politics of hatred and ethnicity.
Speaking at Nyabururu, Matiang’i said the Government has laid plans to ensure peace and security before, during and After August 9 Elections
Insults and political violence belong to the Primitive Era. Our differences in opinions must not override our shared heritage and vision as Kenyans. We must all reflect the values that define our democracy and Kenya as a civilized country. The people of Gusiiland, and indeed the entire nation, want a peaceful election, and anyone who will attempt to go against this will be perceived and treated as a common enemy. Tusiumizane kwa sababu ya uchaguzi, Matiang’i posted on his Facebook page.
On Friday, Matiang’i and his counterpart PS Kibicho raised KShs 29 Million for the completion of construction of dormitory at Tombe Girls in Kitutu Masaba Nyamira County.
Dr Matiang’is influence and touch in the gusii region knows no border. It is endearing to see his ardent critic Hon. Shadrack Mose, mp Kitutu Masaba appreciate the good work done by the son of the soil.
It is key to note that recently Dr Matiang’i laid a foundation for the Sironga Girls Multipurpose Hall, he mobilised more than 10 million for St. Kizito Nyansiongo Boys, and he facelifted Nyambaria boys lest we forget the 1500-capacity dormitory and a solar-powered water project in Riooga Secondary school. Over 200 families from Ekerubo- Manga will be connected with Electricity.
Elsewhere, Rigoma Girls will. also benefit from the same solar-powered borehole to water the school and the entire Rigoma village.
Dr Matiang’i and Ps. Kibicho also drummed support for the Azimio la Umoja Movement. And Nyamira county and gusii as a whole is an Azimio hotbed, political formation that has Omogusii’s interests at heart.
Leaders present watered down the Kenya Kwanza narrative and warned the Kenya Kwanza bandwagon to desist from choreographing events to derail the good name of Dr Matiang’i.
Last but not least, Dr Matiang’is partner Mrs Linet Nyabate Matiang’i donated hygiene kits to all the Tombe Girls and females from around the Tombe secondary region. The said goodies were delivered on her behalf by IPOA chair, Ann Makori together with Women Representative Jerusha Momanyi.
