The Gusii Kingpin Dr Matiang’i gets accorded a heroic reception in Gusii Stadium. On his arrival, the crowd went wild. A clear indication of his authority on the land.
He urged the crowd present to turn up in their numbers and vote for Baba on August 9th. He reminded us that in Azimio and Baba’s government Omogusii will reap big time.
Further, he went on to discourage our people from engaging in unnecessary scuffles come election day. That we are one people and we must strive to maintain good order and harmony amongst ourselves.
He warned politicians against inciting our people against each other, if they do so the long arm of the government will catch up with them.
Dr Matiang’i asked our people to cast their vote and go home. And that peace should prevail regardless of the political divide. He reiterated that any political formation that is not in Azimio is a NO-Go Zone. They’re serial economic thieves and conmen who will throw out people under the bus when it is convenient for them.
Last but not least, the Dr Matiangi thanked H.E Raila Amollo Odinga for having stood with our people over the years affirming now that Railas moment is in the offing our people will vote for him overwhelmingly.
Dr Matiang’i influence was the hallmark of the Gusii proclamation as the crowd cheered, shouting at the top of their lungs that Dr Matiang’i should be respected and revered by the young and old.
Earlier today ,Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiangi in Molo said additional security personnel will be deployed in parts of Rift Valley as part of election readiness measures.
Matiangi said following a meeting with Senior security officials from Rift Valley that the government will deploy a contingent of General Service Unit (GSU) personnel in Eldoret, Kuresoi and Molo as part of efforts to assure residents of their safety.
The CS made the announcement even as he reported the arrest of eight individuals linked to inciteful leaflets circulated in Eldoret without commenting on the status of an investigation into the matter or the likelihood of pressing charges.
“They are not here for any particular aggression, they are here to assure Wananchi and demonstrate to Wananchi that we are ready to rise up to any challenge that may come up,” Matiangi said.
He stated that additional personnel will also be deployed in the larger Uasin Gishu county adding that the government will also increase patrols in parts of the Rift Valley and the neighboring region.
