Former MP for Borabu Constituency, Hon Ben Momanyi and his wife, Mama Evelyn had the honor of being hosted by US First Lady Dr. Jill Biden and her personal assistant, Esther Ongeri during their recent visit to Kenya.
Esther, who happens to be Hon Momanyi’s niece, was prominently featured in the 2020 US elections.
Hon Ben Momanyi ,in the August 2022 elections contested for the Nyamira County Gubernatorial seat on the Wiper Party ticket but lost to Amos Nyaribo of the Upa Party.
Dr. Jill Biden arrived in Kenya on February 24th via the military plane, Executive One Foxtrot.
The plane landed at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) to a warm reception from government officials and traditional dancers, amidst tight security.
First Lady Rachel Ruto received the Professor of English, who came to Kenya in line with the resolutions of the recent US-Africa Summit in Washington, where President Joe Biden promised to engage more with Africa.
During her trip to Kenya, Dr. Biden aimed to strengthen the United States’ partnerships on the African continent and advance shared priorities in the region.
Her visit to Kenya was part of her tour to two African countries, including Namibia.
The White House confirmed the visit would reinforce the relationship between the United States and Africa
