Karua has said they have plans to finish the projects that have been started and haven’t been completed be it County or National projects.
“In the first 100 days after being voted in, the Azimio government shall reduce the cost of living. We shall bring down the cost of food, petrol and other products as well as fight cartels that hinder progress. Remember the maize scandal!” Karua added.
On the War against corruption, Karua says Corruption hinders development, education, health and all other sectors.” We have fought this war on corruption before and with the right captains in office, the war shall be won” Karua charged.
The biggest problem in this country is corruption. Martha Karua has expressed her confidence in watching over public money relentlessly, ensuring that resources meant for agriculture and other public benefit projects don’t end up in people’s pockets.
The former Justice Minister has said that when you get to your office as a government employee and leave to go do other businesses yet you receive a salary at the end of the month that too is corruption
The former MP Gichugu Constituency says when she was a minister in Kibaki’s government before resigning, she delivered in the job given. Karua adds that when she resigned she did so respectfully. “I respect my captain Raila and I will never disrespect him or Kenyans. I am ready to work for Kenyans, I pray that God guides me”,Karua charged
SC Martha Karua has expressed her views on the new CBC program. Karua says CBC is a new education system. “Government always moves forward, we will continue with the CBC plans in our govt and if there is anything to be changed we shall have consultations with stakeholders, public and other partners?”Karua added.
On Peace and Unity, Karua says they have been preaching peace and they want Kenyans to remain united and vote peacefully. If one has issues let them use the right mechanism to seek redress.
Further Karua says they will work to build internal professional capacity to work in and lead our corporations and industries. Policies for a conducive business environment for inventions and start-ups to grow will also be enacted for the benefit of our people
