Biography
Ezekiel Machogu was born in Nyaribari Masaba Kisii County in 1956.
Ezekiel Machogu attended Nduru High School for his O- level certificate from 1970 to 1973 before proceeding to Agoro Sare High School for his A-level certificate from 1974 to 1975.
After his O and A level education, Machogu headed to the University of Nairobi where he bagged a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1979.
Employment History
Ezekiel Machogu worked as a district officer in the office of the president between 1976 to 1979. He was promoted to a district commissioner still under the office of the president between 1989 to 2008.
Machogu was later employed as a senior deputy secretary at the Public service commission from 2008 to 2016.
Political Journey
Hon.Machogu contested for the Nyaribari Masaba parliamentary seat under the NAPK party in 2017 and won. He served as a member of the committee on regional integration and members services and facilities committee between 2017 and 2022.

Machogu on August 9, 2022, contested for the Kisii County gubernatorial seat on the United democratic alliance party [UDA] but was whitewashed by Simba Aarti of the ODM Party.
Education Minister
President William Ruto nominated Ezekiel Machogu as the cabinet Minister in the Ministry of Education on 27th September 2022. Machogu is the third person to serve in the education docket after Prof Sam Ongeri and Dr.Fred Matiang’i.
