Nairobi, Kenya, Jan 10- Senator Essy Okenyuri on Monday met with Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu over the escalating cases of Children murder in Kisii County
In a statement shared by the Senator on Twitter , the meeting with Education Cabinet Secretary was purposely over the recent brutal murder of innocent children in the Kisii region.

Senator Okenyuri noted that the heinous acts have traumatised the young population.
“Traumatization of the young population is a serious concern as it has a negative impact on the Community’s growth and general mental wellness”, Okenyuri added.
On Sunday, A 61-year-old man hacked his step son to death using a jembe and surrendered to Kisii county police.
Sebastian Matundura arrived at the station around 11 a.m. on Monday and confessed to killing his stepson, according to Gesonso OCPD Charles Machinji
According to the police chief, the murder suspect claimed he fought his son on Sunday night, and when the fight became physical, he struck the deceased on the head with a jembe before stabbing him.
On January 6, two children were found murdered and their bodies dumped in a maize farm in Kiobegi, Nyamache in Kisii County.
The bloodied bodies of the babies, aged 10 months and two and a half years, laid besides each other with visible deep cuts on their heads and necks.
According to Citizen TV Reporter,Police in Kisii County arrested a middle-aged man who is alleged to have hacked to death his two daughters aged 10 months and four years.

Confirming the Friday incident, Nyamache OCPD Kipkulei Kipkemboi said after killing the two children, the suspect dumped the bodies at a family farm in Kiobegi area of Kisii.
The two minors had deep cuts on their heads an indication that they could have been hacked with a machete.
The bodies of the deceased children were moved to Nyamache Hospital mortuary as investigations into the incident continue.
Not long time ago when individuals identified as family members of Baby Sagini had gouged out his eyes.
“Sagini’s attackers stuffed him in a sack before taking him to an unknown location where they gouged out his eyes before dumping him in a maize farm, thinking he was dead,” said a detective familiar with the investigations.
But baby Sagini survived, and was found writhing in pain and his body and clothes were soaked with blood.
