Nyamira Deputy Governor Dr. James Gesami has issued a press statement accusing Governor Amos Nyaribo of sidelining him selection of County Executive Committee members and Chief Officers.
Dr James Gesami claims that He had requested the governor to reserve 3 CECMs and CCO for him but the governor declined the request.

Gesami adds that he delivered alot of votes from Bogichora and entire county hence deserved atleast the 6 seats to give to the people who supported him dearly.
“Things are not right, I had the conversation with the Governor and requested him to give me 3 CECMs and 3 CCOs, but the governor declined. He didn’t consult me in the formation of Cabinet. I’m not even briefed on the ongoing petition. We can’t move forward as a county without unity and openness “, Gesami added.
However, the Governor Amos Nyaribo holds a different view, says his deputy presented to him a list of unqualified and incompetent individuals. He promised to consider them in other duties.
” I don’t want to treat my deputy the way I was treated, but we must appoint individuals with all the requisite requirements who can deliver in their respective dockets “, Governor Amos Nyaribo said.
It seems there is alot than meets the eye. The governor revealed that his deputy prior to Launch of his gubernatorial bid ,wanted to join his opponent.
Nyaribo further says,Dr. James Gesami asked him for money so that he can be his deputy.
In the just recent concluded election of Speaker of County Assembly of Nyamira, Governor Amos Nyaribo claims they had agreed to support Enoch Okero of UPA but Gesami opted to support another candidate.
In the August 9 Election, Nyaribo was announced the winner after garnering 82,090 votes.
His closest challenger Walter Nyambati of UDA garnered 49,281 votes.
Should the petition challenging Amos Nyaribo see light then it will be the end of Governor Kimwomi.
