The lawyer highlighted the high cost of living, lack of unemployment for youths that the President promised during campaigns. Omari added that article 37 of the 2010 constitution gives every Kenyan right to picket and demonstrate hence Ruto should stop giving threats.ย
Further Omari says Raila Odinga is challenging the legitimacy of the Kenya Kwanza government. He said that the legitimacy was tested by the supreme Court to the limit.Omari added that the composition of the current government is not a true representation of Kenya as its dominated by 2 tribes.
“It’s not even 100 days and President William Ruto and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua are on the campaign trail. Anyone looking at body language of President William Ruto, DP Rigathi Gachagua and Majority Leader Kimani Ichungwah can see panic in their faces “,Omari said
The city lawyer says he will personally be on that demonstration as a Kisii. “The people who have appointed their brothers and tribesmen into PSs positions and CSs are telling us to leave them in peace. It is very painful”, Omari opinedย
DPP Actionsย
In 2010, Kenyans created a very independent office under Article 157 called the Office of the Director of Public Prosecution. The director of public prosecution is only appointed for one term and cannot be directed by anybody.
Danstan Omari says if the Director wishes to withdraw a case, he must go to court and obtain permission. If the court is satisfied and agrees to let him withdraw the case, the mistake will be in the court.
According to the annual report that has been submitted to parliament each year since 2015, the Director has been withdrawing between 8,000 and 10,000 cases per year. Last year, the DPP withdrew 18,000 cases.
Omari argues that the DPP should have an effective communication channel within its department to explain their actions to the public. They used to explain why they were arresting People hence should explain why they are Withdrawing the cases.ย
The IEBC Saga

“One commissioner has resigned, three are still there, if they will carry the yolk and face the tribunal then the question is, will the go to court?” Omari chargedย
