The news was shared in a post on his official Facebook account on May 14, 2023, in which he expressed his excitement and congratulated his daughter on this major achievement.
The graduation marks a momentous occasion for both the Choy family and Howard University.

Cosmas Ombori Monari, better known as Cosmo Choy, is a Kenyan political commentator currently residing in the United States.
He gained notoriety for his controversial videos posted through a popular Facebook page owned by blogger Mutembei.
Most of his clips involve political issues, and he has been known to use vulgar language when attacking various politicians.
When defending his use of vulgar and foul sentiments in a past interview, the bald man stated that such language is justified when engaging in political issues.
According to his Facebook account, which has over 71k followers, Cosmo Choy was born on July 18th, 1971, making him 51 years old.
The political commentator often shares photos of his wife and children on social media.
He has previously mentioned that he is a polygamous man, and his first wife works as a medic in New Jersey, USA. Monari’s children from his first marriage are now adults, and one works as a manager in a media company in the US.
Cosmo Choy’s second wife is Felicina Wambui, and the couple resides in North Carolina.
Monari originally hails from Bobasi, Kisii County, in Kenya and belongs to the Kisii tribe, mwomabere family.
However, he has lived in the USA for most of his life, approximately 27 years, and works for a logistics company called Ryder, which is involved in fleet and supply chain management.
Monari is a self-proclaimed leader of the Abagusii Community in the US. He was once an ardent supporter of ODM leader Raila Odinga before he shifted his allegiance to William Ruto.
He accused Raila of betraying his supporters when he entered into the handshake camaraderie with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Cosmo Choy caused a public uproar through one of his videos, which went viral, where he recorded himself hurling unprintable insults to Mama Ngina Kenyatta.
This was after the former first lady publicly declared her support of Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga.
The distasteful remarks sparked anger, especially among women. Various leaders, including Nairobi woman representative Esther Passaris, and former Governor Anne Kananu, and Former CAS Rachael Shebesh, took to the streets, demanding a written apology from UDA party.
