Nairobi,Kenya,Jan 6- UDA’s Dekow Mahamed wins Garissa Township MP seat after garnering 11,572 votes in by-election; Nasir Mohamed of UDM comes second with 8,158 votes.
The Returning officer for Garissa Township Constituency by-election Abdi Yunis Mohamed declares Barrow Dekow Mohamed of UDA party duly elected Garissa Township Member of National Assembly (MNA) after garnering 11,572 votes
The by-election was conducted on January 5th.
Nassir Dolal of UDM party got 8,158 votes to finish second with NARC Kenya’s Ibrahim Malow third with 840 votes.
A total of 21,218 votes were cast representing 39.84 percent voter turnout.
