Alice Wahome ignited Parliament with laughter when she siad that her  father was a polygamous man. She added that they are 48 siblings.

Speaker Moses Wetangula commented that her father is a very hardworking man.

However, Hon. Wahome discourages men against polygamy with the current economic times.

Alice Wahome said that her gross net worth is about Sh. 392M. Her net worth is Sh. 218M, which is the value of properties between her husband and herself.

“I was one of the few privileged girls in the village because my mother was keen on ensuring I went to school. My father educated all of us through his coffee farm… I want to encourage other girls that they can work and reach higher heights than what is their situation” Wahome added.

The Former Kandara Constituency Legislature also said that she is  the daughter of a peasant, small scale, coffee farmer. She used to walk to school and sometimes went without lunch. A Hustler in the making.

During her early life, Alice  worked like any other village girl. She knows how to milk, how to cut grass, she has  cooked for her brothers as was expected even though some of them were older than her.

The Cabinet nominee also revealed that she have held her practicing certificate from 1985 to date, it’s still valid.

Further Hon Alice said that her first job was as a state counsel at the office of the Attorney General, where she practiced for about 2 years, and later joined Makhecha & Co and thereafter setup A M Wahome & Co Advocates.
