Nakuru,Kenya Jan 12- Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya has leaked details of the situation under which police officers in banditry-prone areas work.
Natembeya- who served as Rift Valley Regional Commissioner for 3 years- on Sunday 12 in Nakuru during the Interdenominational Thanksgiving prayers event said the police in such areas do not receive any allowances.
Governor George Natembeya : Hao maafisa wa polisi unaona wanapigwa risasi huko bonde la ufa, hakuna hata mmoja anapewa marupurupu, hata kupata chakula ni shida. Kuleta jeshi sio suluhisho rais, ongea na watu moja kwa moja utapata kujua ukweli.#TheGreatKBC pic.twitter.com/44KbTREDB0

“During my three years tenure as the regional commissioner, not a single cent was invested in the fight against banditry. The PS Raymond Omollo can affirm.” He said.
Unlike other leaders who praise the President, Natembeya opted to tell President William Ruto the truth about the state of insecurity in banditry prone areas. .
“The officers who are being shot dead not even one of them is given an allowance. The salary an officer in Kapedo gets is the same an officer standing here in Ngata in traffic is getting, there is no incentive whatever.” he added
Natembeya said for the police to get food, they cut deals with with bandits and give bullets where they get a goat in return for food.
He recounted how asked former President Uhuru Kenyatta for a military to help in the operation but it didn’t materialise as some of the inner circle team members leaked the information to the bandits.
Gachagua might be having some mental problems, or he is just dumb or something… After Governor Natembeya said the truth about banditry, the man lectured him before the President… Unless the Man is among the shareholders in banditry. Time we called out this mediocrity.

“The things that happened in Laikipia conservancy made me resolve to leave my job because you would tell someone these are the coordinates, the bandits are this side then they bomb the opposite side because the owners of the livestock are the same people we sit with on the table to plan strategies on how to finish the bandits,” he said.
“Later, they would declare the region banditry free and let residents go back to their homes.”
Kenyans on twitter have applauded Natembeya for speaking boldly on the state of insecurity.
