Nairobi, Kenya, Jan 12- Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture and Livestock Development Mithika Linturi has appointed Hon. Josephine Moraa Omanwa as a member of Kenya Dairy Board for a period of 3 years.
Hon. Omanwa in the 2022 elections, contested for the Nyamira County Woman representative seat on the ruling party ticket, UDA party and lost to the incumbent Hon Jerusha Momanyi of Jubilee Party.
The appointment of Omanwa add to the list of UDA loyalists from Gusii region who have been rewarded by President William Ruto.
Walter Nyambati- who had contested for Nyamira County Gubernatorial seat on UDA ticket- was appointed as the chairperson of the board of Geothermal Development Company for a period of 3 years effective December 23,2022.
CS Linturi appointed Duke Mainga Ondiba- who unsuccessfully vied for the Bomachoge Borabu MP Seat on UDA ticket- as the Chairperson of the Board of trustees of the Commodities fund.
In the latest appointments of Kenya Dairy Board, CS Linturi appointed Genesio Mugo as the Chairperson of Kenya Dairy Board for a period of three years, effective 10th February 2023.

The Kenya dairy board members who were appointed by Former President Uhuru Kenyatta were reversed by CS Linturi.
Uhuru had appointed Ignatius Kahiu, Kenneth Thimba, Roy Mugo Kaugi, Dishon Mwanzighe Mngoda, Mukina Kivuvani, Kennedy Gatheru, Monica Waithera Kareiithi and Philip Kipkoech Kibusie as board members.
