Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on Saturday led the Cabinet and top Government officials in condoling with the family of former Cabinet Secretary for Education Prof George Magoha at their home in Lavington Estate, Nairobi.
In a media address, Gachagua said the Kenya Defence Forces will airlift the body of the late Prof George Magoha and family members from Nairobi to his home Siaya where he will be buried.
Further Gachagua said the Department of Special Programs will provide enough food for mourners and the whole Gem Village during his send off.
The Ministry of Interior and Administration to set up tent and chairs in ensuring prof is given a befitting send off.
Gachagua also conveyed heartfelt condolences from H.E President William Samoei Ruto, who described the late Prof Magoha as a distinguished public servant who demonstrated utmost dedication, patriotism and commitment in work. His service will be greatly missed.
The Government will assist the family in every way possible to ensure a befitting send off for the former Education Cabinet Secretary.
