CS Ababu Namwamba has this afternoon presided over the flagging off of the Huawei Kenya DigiTruck in Budalangi, Busia County.
This marks the beginning of a six weeks digital training that will culminate in certification of 150 youth from Busia County.

The CS, who was joined by Huawei Kenya Deputy CEO Government Affairs Mr. Adam Lane, lauded Huawei for the Tech4All initiative, which he said had done much in eradicating digital illiteracy in Kenya.
“I wish to commend Huawei for agreeing to partner with us, the ministry, to train our youth in these key digital skills, which sits well with the government’s agenda of enhancing digital literacy with a view to building a digital economy.”Ababu Said
He called on the selected 150 youth to take advantage of the opportunity to better their digital skills.
“You must maximise this opportunity to ensure that you gain valuable digital skills, which is crucial in this digital era,” he added.
Kenya National Information Agency CEO Dr. Tonny Omwansa added that his organisation will work with Huawei Kenya in support of the digital literacy programme.
“As an agency, we are going to collaborate with Huawei so that we expand digital literacy in Kenya,” said Dr. Omwansa.
“Being an agency tasked with enhancing innovations in Kenya, we are aware of the key role of the digital space in championing for innovative ideas. This initiative by Huawei, through the Ministry, comes as a boost to our innovation agenda,for which we are ready to support.” He added
Also present was Nominated MCA Hon. Juliana Wanyama, among other local and county leadership.
