Mombasa Governor advisors 2023

1. ADVISOR ON INNOVATION AND DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION

Mr. Mahmoud Noor

The Governance Advisor will provide technical advice to the Governor, including contributing to
the formulation of strategic approaches and coordinated programmatic inputs towards good
governance and the mission to turn Mombasa into a smart city.

He is also the chair of the Council of Advisors.

2. ADVISOR ON POLITICAL AFFAIRS

Mr. Mohamed Tenge Salim

The Political Advisor will provide technical advice to the Governor, including contributing to the
formulation of strategic approaches and coordinated programmatic inputs with regard to political matters.

3. ADVISOR ON ECONOMIC AFFAIRS

Dr. Fauziya Karama

The Advisor on Economic Affairs within the Executive Office of the Governor is charged with
offering the Governor objective economic advice on the formulation of both domestic and
international economic policy.

4. ADVISOR ON YOUTH & GENDER AFFAIRS

Mr. Goshi Juma Ally

The Advisor on Youth and Gender Affairs within the Executive Office of the Governor is charged
with offering the Governor with creative approaches in sustainable programs at empowering the youth, women and people living with disability

5. ADVISOR ON PORT AND MARITIME AFFAIRS

Mr. Gilbert Langat

The Advisor on Port and Maritime Affairs within the Executive Office of the Governor is
mandated with providing the Governor with relevant and material advice on matters to do with linkages between the County Government of Mombasa and the Port of Mombasa as well as Blue Economy and Maritime Affairs.

6. ADVISORS ON COHESION & INTERGRATION

The Advisors on County Cohesion and Integration within the Executive Office of the Governorare mandated with providing the Governor with relevant and material advice on matters that encourage County cohesion and integration by eliminating discrimination on religious, ethnic or any other grounds for seamless functioning and delivery of services to the residents of Mombasa.


This Council within the Advisors will transition within 6 months to a broad based Secretariat with comprehensive membership to ensure inclusivity in the county of Mombasa.

7. ADVISORS ON URBAN RENEWAL

Dorcas Mutheu Musingi

The Urban Renewal Advisor is the advisor to the office of the Governor of Mombasa on urbanization matters.

The Urban Renewal Advisor is responsible for developing urban planning methods and systems that address current urbanization challenges. He shall promote urban planning approaches to address rapid urban growth and urban
transformation processes in countries with rapid urbanization processes and where cities face
a backlog of services and housing.
